I really don’t know what to say, or where to begin…these last few days have been nothing short of surreal.
We were humbled to be considered for this event to begin with. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and our game development pursuits over the years. On a more personal note, I really owe the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (nevermind the wonderful FBIT faculty) a thank you as well – without those four years of education, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Thank you to those who came and supported us in person as well – I have to give a special shout-out to our fan Wesley Aaron G who drove up from the USA to be with us. That really meant a lot, bro – enjoy the swag!
Now, of course, the question I know you’re all wondering…and no, we did not walk out with a physical award, unfortunately. Quite frankly, to be invited to attend this kind of event as a finalist was enough of an award that winning or losing didn’t hold any relevance to us.
We had a fantastic time meeting up with our fellow Canadian gamedev brethren (sup Madgarden) at the CVAs, too! You guys should really check out the full list of finalists and winners – there’s some incredible talent on display here. We hope to see you all again soon!
